Roving TV reporter

Decided to play roving entertainment reporter online tonight, and here's what I found out:

From SciFi.com:

Brak is getting his own show! (No word yet on whether he gets a baloney sammitch.) :)

The Brak Show
Cartoon Network, Sundays and Thursdays, During Adult Swim, which begins at 10 p.m. (ET/PT)

Grim & Evil
Cartoon Network, Premiered Aug. 24, Fridays, 8 p.m. (ET)

Samurai Jack
Cartoon Network, Premiered Aug. 13, Mondays, 8 p.m. (ET)
My friend Tom already tipped me off to this one, I just haven't had a chance to see it yet, except online. :(

Other things that may be of interest:

The Tick (live action)
Fox, Thursday, 8:30 p.m.
Premieres Nov. 1

Also . . .

Angel premieres tomorrow night on the WB at 9 pm
Online: Neil Gaiman will be doing a chat over at SCIFI.com on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 9 pm. He will be discussing his new book, American Gods.
Enterprise premieres Wednesday night on UPN at 8 pm
Buffy premieres on Tuesday, October 2nd on UPN at 8 pm
X-Files premieres Sunday, Nov. 4th at 9 pm (Yes, Cary Elwes is going to be on it. Yes, Lucy Lawless is going to be in at least two episodes this season, with more to be determined.)

Oct 8th, SciFi will air a special Crusade Chain Reaction, which will include a special announcement about the upcoming made-for-TV movie Babylon 5: The Legend of the Rangers, which is supposed to air on January 2nd of 2002.

More Babylon 5: Release of the first DVDs will be Dec. 4, 2001, same as the first season of Twin Peaks on DVD. Unfortunately, it looks like they're cheesing out and only doing them two at a time.

Word on Stargate SG-1 6th season, from MGM's site:

STARGATE SG-1 FINDS A NEW HOME ON SCI FI
SCI FI to Produce 22 New Episodes of the Emmy-Nominated Series
SCI FI Channel has completed a deal with MGM Television to produce 22 all new original episodes of the award-winning series Stargate SG-1. The series will debut in its sixth season exclusively on SCI FI in June 2002. The series is also slated to air on SCI FI as a weekday strip, beginning with Season One, in fourth quarter 2002 as part of a 1998 deal with MGM.

More on Angel:

THE MOVIES ARE GOING TO ANGEL
SNEAK PREVIEW OF TRAILER FOR NEW LINE CINEMA'S THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING TO AIR DURING SEASON PREMIERE OF ANGEL ON THE WB

BURBANK, CA (September 20, 2001) The WB's action-adventure drama ANGEL , starring David Boreanaz and Charisma Carpenter, will have a cinematic flair this season. Not only will the series, which debuts its third season on Monday, September 24 at 9:00-10:00 pm ET, be broadcast in letterbox format, ANGEL will also give viewers the opportunity to get the first look at the new trailer - in its entirety - for the highly anticipated theatrical release: The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

During the season premiere of ANGEL, The WB will broadcast the World Premiere of New Line Cinema's trailer for the epic adventure The Lord of the Rings. Based on J. R. R. Tolkien's classic novel, the trilogy will open world-wide in theatres on December 19, 2001.

In another cinematic twist for ANGEL this season, the popular series will air in letterbox format this season.

"The format lends itself to the production quality and action sequences of ANGEL," said ANGEL executive producer David Greenwalt. "Still, viewers who do not have the capacity to view shows in this format will not miss anything and will be able to enjoy the show as they have in the past."

I cannot find any more information on "Tales of Oz" coming for the WB. I only know that it's in production.

I'm very happy about the SG-1 news. SciFi will likely show all the eps in order, so I am SO there. Finally, I can catch up with you people! :)
