2001 con

Ye gods, I am tired and weary to my bones, but happy. :) Yep, even in spite of the fact that I caught a cold at con and am sneezing with a sore throat, overall the pluses outweighed the minuses for a very cool experience - it kind of seemed to just get better as con went on. Heck, just as con was about over, somebody asked me for my autograph next to my name in their copy of the official program. I was surprised to be asked, but it was a neat experience.

More soon - too exhausted to write more now.

Cool, you'll have to tell us more when you're feeling better and have gotten some sleep.

The vomiting alien icon is quite nice, by the way. :)

Working on a DragonCon summary, I promise. As for the sickies, I started feeling better Sunday afternoon. I still have a very bad cough, I'm still a touch raspy, and am still blowing my nose, but the aches and pains have passed. I found the vomiting alien icon to be far too expressive to miss using on this particular occasion. :)

what's with everyone being sick lately?
There's a nasty cold going around, that I have come down with myself.

Not that I'm going to let it stop me from continuing the tradition begun two tuesdays ago. ;)

I'm sorry you got sick! I hope some good sleep will get you back on your feet soon! I can't wait to hear how things went!

Thanks, you. :) I'm more concerned about the fact that my friend Ashley's rehearsal dinner is tomorrow night, and I'm still not feeling great. :( I also don't know what in the green-and-purple heck I'm going to wear. I hate it when big events come on the heels of one another, and it just always seems to be the way of things. :(

Well, see...you should ask your mom :) :) :)

*giggle* Actually, you saying this reminded me of something I could (and did) wear. Hmm - was the Mom Radar Network in effect? Like, she wasn't in immediate proximity, but to be discussing it with another mom was good enough because it's like being at a relay post? :D

In any event, thanks. ;)

I am glad you found something to wear! I have been blessed with a lack of formal functions recently. I donated about 75% of my closet because I finally decided that no diet in the world will make my hips fit into a Jr size 7 pair of pants again. Eventually, my wardrobe will not have to accomodate either carying or nursing a baby and I can buy new stuff!! Then I can go out in public again :)

As for maternal ESP, there must be something to it. Whenever Scott spends a day with us he leaves tired, sweating, sticky and mumbling "I *must* call my mother more often!" :) Poor guy, I guess all those brotherly antics take on a new light when viewed by an adult!
