After reading this article, I really want to visit H&F Bread Co. and Via Elisa soon. I love good almond croissants, and the Sweet Grass Dairy goat cheese with rosemary sounds delicious.

I should also give Veranda Greek Taverna a try, given that it's not too far from where I live. Brazilian Bakery isn't far from where I work, and what non-vegetarian can resist a good meat pie?

I'd still like to find one of these special beer collections for my brother-in-law, but I didn't see any when we went to Harry's Farmer's Market, which contains Whole Foods inventory. Maybe I can check at the Roswell Road location.

And for eating at home, it's not bad to think economically, as the New York Times does in this piece featuring healthy foods under $1.

I may be remembering it better than it actually was, but back in the early 90s there was a pastry shop on Broad Street in Athens that served breakfast sandwiches in fresh croissants that were outstanding ... we used to go there, remember? I seem to recall a cheesecake selection as well.

You are thinking of Figaro's! The amaretto cheesecake was outstanding.
