Be careful with whom you deal

[sarcasm on]
Hmm. So, I'm waiting for the following ad campaign, complete with horrifyingly graphic images:

"IBM: our machines assisted with the systematic slaughter of six million people. Just think what we can do for your company!"
[sarcasm off]

Somehow, I think I'll be waiting a very long time.

Seriously, I don't blame anyone currently at IBM for this. However, I think it's a damned good reminder to be really cognizant of both personal and professional associations. I wish I thought people would use it as a cautionary tale in their lives, but I'm not so naive anymore.

I had seen information on this prior to the article, actually. If I remember correctly, there's a portion of an exhibit at the Holocaust Museum that touches on it. However, as I said, I don't blame the current staff at IBM, or even the vast majority of the staff at the time, assuming it is true. Like I say, to me, it's just a good reminder to be cautious about one's associations in both business and professional life . . . to be sure you know who you're dealing with whenever possible. A cautionary tale, as it were. That's the primary value, in my eyes, as I said in my initial post.
