On top of this, each episode will be longer than a usual TV episode is, as FOX are airing Dollhouse without many adverts. Yes, you read that right. As a result each episode will clock in at a minimum of 50 minutes instead of the usual 42. This is part of a FOX initiative called Remote Free TV.

I really like La Femme Nikita/Alias identity stories, so I'm looking forward to what happens when that genre meets Joss Whedon. Trailers don't tell you much, and yet, this seems like a fresh concept for him while still being on familiar ground: a strong female character as lead with a shady organization pulling the strings (Wolfram and Hart, anyone?).
Now if FOX doesn't screw it up as they have so very many things, I might actually have something new to watch on television.
