Fifties Housewife post

I feel like a 50s housewife posting this, but I gotta say it: Joan's Cascade tip worked.

I had a stain on one of my favorite t-shirts, but I put a little Cascade detergent on it, tossed it in the laundry, and you'd never know anything had ever been there.

Thank you, Joan! I have always had this mental allocation thing, a partition between the laundry detergent going in the washer, and the dish detergent going in the dishwasher. Clearly, I was in error: it does make sense that something intended to cleanse food would actually do so. :) I don't know if I'd dare it with delicates, but for a t-shirt that I feared was ruined, well, I had nothing to lose, and it worked. :)

LOL! Glad it worked. I have the same odd partition in my head too! We recently got another odd tip, and steam cleaned the carpet with Tide (watered down, and added defoamer to the waste tank) and it worked GREAT. It took out some grungy stains that had been in the carpet since we moved in! At first I thought the white tinge to the carpet was the soap foaming up in the fibers but it turns out *Thats the color of the carpet*!! Who knew?!
