I listened to Strange Little Girls yesterday afternoon as I was prepping for Michael's party. We've had the album for quite a while, but just hadn't gotten around to listening to it. Upon first listen/impression, I really liked her take on "I'm Not in Love," which came out neatly creepy: her stripped-down version of it comes out almost like a serial killer is singing it. Also liked "Real Men" quite a bit. However, as with most cover albums, there were some hits and misses. I didn't think "Heart of Gold" worked very well, for example.
