As someone who spent a bit of time in broadcasting (both radio and television), I found this online film interesting:


In truth, with the exception of the bit about a Democratic candidate being completely shut out by the media, it doesn't tell you a whole lot that you don't already know: Pat Robertson hates gays, and Larry King is apparently an egomaniacal sycophant, but it does remind you that the story you see or read is the one the editor gives you, and how tightly your view is controlled.

Seeing old footage of Gore definitely reminds me how politicians have the tendency to reinvent themselves time and time again. It's also an interesting contrast in how we used to get news, and how the information pipe has changed with the advent of the 'net.

I can't remember on which aggregator I saw the link, otherwise I'd credit accordingly.
