Star Wars: Clone Wars, Volume II

The second volume of Star Wars: Clone Wars was much better than the first. I won't go so far as to say it brings balance to the Force, but it actually made me think about watching Episode III again before I remembered that there are pretty much always going to be better things I can do with two hours of free time than that. ;)

Catty remarks aside, it makes Anakin's "Okie-day, Palpatine! I'm your little Vader-puppy now! Sith me up!" shift a little more comprehensible, and it also reminds us that circumstances caused the Jedi Council to not do quite right by Anakin simply because they made exceptions for him all over the place. It fills in some of the background nicely.

I didn't like the way they drew the wookiees, and the way they drew Anakin still bugs me. Other than that, it was a good demonstration of how, even when Lucas is pulling stuff out of his special lightsaber-shaped bong (affectionately referred to at Skywalker Ranch as "The Force, duuuuude"), when he gives it to someone who actually remembers what the movies are supposed to be about (Genndy Tartakovsky), it can still be a decent production.
