Saw Revenge of the Sith

Saw it tonight.

Dear Lord, I just want to say thank you, right here and now, for Peter Jackson.

I'll reserve further comment until after opening weekend has concluded and most of my friends have had the opportunity to see it.

Well, okay, one more thing. I have a little program that rotates desktop backgrounds each time I boot my computer. This was the image that greeted me when I turned on my machine after seeing RotS.

The irony was not lost on me, and I thought it was too funny not to share.

I'll say one thing: despite being in the wrong place at the wrong time in Fellowship, Arwen never once uttered the word "Meesa".

I rest my case.

I'm glad you've seen it already. We can discuss it better tomorrow if you aren't still absorbing initial impressions.

George must not have any real friends. A real friend would take him aside and tell him he has absolutely zero talent for writing romantic dialogue. Bring in Nora Ephron to consult, George, or do some damn thing. Romantic dialogue doesn't explode, and therefore you do not understand it. If I had to pick one most glaring flaw in this latest film, it's that. It's just painful to watch.

I don't get the picture thing. Maybe I have to see the RotS first?

It'll make more sense after you see the lava scene on Mordor the volcanic planet in Revenge of the Sith. :)
