The Incredibles

Saw The Incredibles, and really liked it. Yes, it has some flaws, but it's still a lot of fun; I'd put it a close second behind Monsters, Inc. in my ranking of Pixar films. (Let's face it: it's hard to beat the hit musical "Put That Thing Back Where It Came From Or So Help Me.") :)

I still need to see The Iron Giant, director Brad Bird's previous effort; a friend of mine recommended it highly and I just never quite got around to it.

Oh, and the Revenge of the Sith trailer preceded it. Let's hope George has backed safely away from the midichlorians and the Boring Teen Luv Story that nobody gives a tinker's damn about because it's written in such a way as to put speed-addicted insomniacs to sleep. I don't hold out much hope, though. Eps I and II have lowered my expectations.

I might forgive him if Darth kills Jar-Jar. Okay, if anybody kills Jar-Jar. Master Yoda, Obi-Wan, some miscellaneous random Twi'lek -- I'm not picky. C'mon, George -- you can use one special effect to kill off another special effect. Given your penchant for sticking in gratuitous computer manipulations where they don't belong, I feel sure that has to appeal to your, um, dark side.

Should you want to watch it, the trailer is at TheForce.net.
