What drug are these people on?

Post-election poll: Americans seem hopeful - CNN.com

And it doesn't take a genius to figure out that that 51% is the exact same number quoted later in the article on the percentage Bush received of the popular vote! Duh!

Oh, and those who think that Bush is going to try to mend fences after this election are living in a fool's dream, if information cited in this essay, "Vengeance is His," by Paul Begala is correct. Even Tucker Carlson says the following: "Cultural values: Those rifts are unmendable -- Americans are divided. It's the secular coasts versus the religious heartland."

"We have one country, one Constitution and one future that binds us. To make this nation stronger and better, I will need your support, and I will work to earn it." - President Bush, 11-03-04

Liar. Didn't do it before, and he won't do it this time, either. I'll believe it when I see it.

I think I need to stop reading political news for a week or so. Not that the situation's going to be any better by then, but I'll have had a little break, at least. Like the NOW bumper sticker says, "If you're not outraged, you're not paying attention." Right now, I think I need to stop paying attention for a little bit, because my outrage levels are too high for comfort.
