Dollhouse - S2, Episode 4: "Belonging"

I'll keep it simple: "Belonging" is the best episode of Dollhouse that has aired so far (I'd still put "Epitaph One" at the very top, but it hasn't been broadcast in the US).

I was right in my early reading of Topher during Season 1 (see comments as well). Right about his amorality, and right about the writers moving a mercenary character toward redemption as part of his arc.

Adelle DeWitt: The cold reality is that everyone here was chosen because their morals had been compromised in some way. Everyone except you, Topher. You were chosen because you had no morals. You had always thought of people as playthings. This is not a judgment. You always take good care of your toys. But you're going to have to let this one go.

I really want to know more about Harvey Keitel Boyd.

And they addressed the post-traumatic memory erasure issue. That actually exists today.

Here's a link to the episode on Hulu, but don't watch it unless you've seen Season 1, especially "Needs."

Geek trivia side note: the episode was directed by Jonathan Frakes, aka Will Riker from ST:TNG.
